[tex-live] upgrading Debian packages

Hi,

Is it still necessary to include this entry in /etc/apt/sources.list:


# Texlive
deb http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/ unstable main
deb-src http://ftp.it.debian.org/debian/ unstable main


since the packages are now available from the standard Debian unstable and
testing sources?  I got confused by the message in
http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian.html.

Also, is it still necessary to purge before upgrading of the texlive
packages, as it was recommended in the past?  Thanks in advance.
