Yes, there is documentation for pst-3d:

http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/pstricks/contrib/pst-3dplot/doc/

and also for pst-labo in 

http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/pstricks/contrib/pst-labo/

pst-labo comes with documentation in different languages.

Thanks for checking - did you find this by chance?  Maybe the update
scripts should also check for this.
