Hello TeX Live documentation folks (and everyone),

I have made some very small updates to the TeX Live documentation for
2006, the release process for which is underway -- a short new section
on non-interactive installation, a couple of new people in the
acknowledgements, and a (very) brief summary of the year's changes.
Thus, I hope that the translation updates won't take much time this year.

I do not expect significant further changes, so please feel free to
update your translations. Unless you already have TL's Subversion
repository checked out, it's probably easiest to just send me the new
source file(s) to check in.

The new live.tex for English is at:
http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/texmf-doc/source/english/texlive-en/live.tex?view=markup

For purposes of comparison, the 2005 live.tex is in the archive/ subdir
as usual:
http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/texmf-doc/source/english/texlive-en/archive/live-2005.tex?view=log

I've updated the HTML and PDF versions for English also:
http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/texmf-doc/doc/english/texlive-en/live.html
http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/texmf-doc/doc/english/texlive-en/live.pdf

At the moment, I see no need for any changes in the top-level
readme.LL.html file
(http://tug.org/svn/texlive/trunk/Master/readme.en.html). So that's one
less thing to do.

As you know, 2006 is drawing to a close, so time is unfortunately the
shortest it's ever been. If you know you won't have time to do the
update within the next two weeks, please let me know so I can try to
find another volunteer.

Thanks,
Karl

P.S. If there are other significant updates that should be mentioned,
please let me know asap. I listed xetex, metapost, and pdftex
specifically.
