[tex-live] bad PS names in cbgreek Type 1 fonts

Apostolos,

I've just stumbled across glyph name problems with Type 1 versions of
the cbgreek fonts (in the type1.tar.gz bundle on CTAN, and
consequently in the current TeXLive repository).

Note that I haven't tested all fonts; I just report the very problems
I've encountered.

. grxn1000.pfb has completely wrong glyph names! Instead of Greek
ones you have glyph names appropriate for an EC font. Looking
into some more fonts it seems that many others have exactly the
    same problem.

. grmn1000.pfb has Greek glyph names, but many of them don't follow
the Adobe Glyph List (AGL). For example, the lambda glyph is
incorrectly called `lamda' (a typo?), or `sigmafinal' has the
    wrong name `finalsigma'.

Today, with the widespread use of PDFs, it is of great importance to
have correct glyph names so that the ToUnicode feature works
correctly, enabling cut and paste from a PDF document into other
documents.

Are there plans to fix this?

    Werner
