[tex-live] Problem with T1 encoding and Type1 fonts

i don't know satisfactory solution besides either removing partial
cm-super from TeX Live or installing full distribution (after all, TeX
Live on DVD has plenty of free space, so why not install the full
package?). - or somehow to manage to tell users to use the
\usepackage[10pt]{type1ec}

similar situation (with mized Type1 and PK fonts) would occur with TeX
Live's CBgreek fonts...
