[tex-live] Code freeze?

    However built from source.development: pdfetex and pdfxtex differ in
    some bytes (??).  Could some differences in web2/pdftexdir/ in
    source/ and source.development/ have any influence?

I looked at the output of 
diff -u2r source*/TeX/texk/web2c/pdftexdir.  All the differences are in
the $Id$ lines.  In some cases, the $Id$'s end up in the binaries (I
looked at the strings(1) output).  So that would explain the difference.
