[tex-live] What can I do to help TeXLive 2004?

Since you have to do the install with *n*x, I don't think there has been 
much testing on Windows XP SP2.  Here is what I did:

1.  start with a minimal install of TL2003 to get the registry and path
    settings.

2.  On linux mount the .iso with a loop device, run the install script and
    ask for the Win32 binaries and xemtex

3. copy the resulting tree over to a Win32 system (preferrably one already
    running TL2003 so you can just edit the existing registry entries for
    the new path).

This is very nice for sites that have been using TL2003 on Win32 and want 
to keep texmf trees consistent between *n*x and Win32. Anyone who doesn't 
like it really should consider dumping Win32 and running linux.

OK, I'm being grumpy because a Win32 virus just zapped a PC (supposedly 
protected by automatic updates) being used by a PhD student in the 
final hours of preparing for an important workshop.
