[tex-live] Re: compiling lcdf-typetools

Sebastian notes difficulty in building the lcdf-typetools.

I've done builds of assorted versions, right up to the latest
lcdf-typetools-1.97, where I have logs of builds in 48 different
compilation environments.  However, all are built like this:

	./configure --without-kpathsea && make 

since our default TeX implementation doesn't use the kpathsea
libraries.

What exactly are the problems that you are hitting? Eddie Kohler's
code is very clean, so I suspect a systematic error related to the
TeXlive build environment.
