That's also the location that I have given these files in teTeX (generic,
not latex). Same for the documentation.

hyphxmpl.cfg? I have it in only in texmf/source, not in texmf/tex. I
don't see the point in putting an example file into the runtime part,
but I don't feel strongly about it...
