Get off it.  "Wise", my foot.  Is there a Stiff Fine (TM) for saying
such things?

We are already obsoleting the genuine TeX engine (LaTeX recommends
eTeX as a base, ConTeXt similarly), and the licence is the least
important of all reasons for that.
