    I am missing the list of preconditions on a IBM AIX 5.3 operating system,

I didn't know of any to put there.

    because we got problems after "just install" with pdflatex and libgcc -
    any link or clue ?

What is the exact error?  Maybe we should put up the libgcc it got
compiled with, and it would work?  Vladimir?

    (I found no ready-to-use tex for AIX5.2 so far, only AIX4.3.3)

Shouldn't 4.x binaries run on 5.x?
