    Not technical, but practical. I'm sorry but I'm against that as it needs
    changing the documentation, etc. As you know, that's the hardest point.

What?  It's exactly *because* I don't want to change the documentation
that I suggested ctan/ and texlive/ be siblings.

Did you mention something about this ctan/ directory somewhere in the
Polish doc?
