[tex-live] current source.development compile problems

I will upgrade to 1.21 and also add lcdf tools (by Eddie Kohler). But
I'm leaving for EuroTeX in a few hours. More on this later. In the mean
time, apply the fixes that help you to compile (Anyone: do I need to install
gcc33 to make tests ?)
