Without any more surgery, I can make a 650 mbyte CD ROM
with all current packages and support files, plus binaries
for win32. i386-linux, and MacOSX (thanks, Gerben); plus
the TeXshop front end for MacOSX, and the editing etc material
for win32.

That's 645 megabytes today. There is more pruning to come,
to allow for a little more expansion.

The parallel Unix CD will be available for download
as a compressed ISO image.  Who feels strongly that this is a bad idea?
