Irina,

Legally, you do not need our permission to use the CD in your
publications. We make available an ISO image for anyone to download
and use. Obviously we *much* prefer people to get CDs from TUG, but
several other publishers have used the CD in the past, so there is no
problem with Mir doing the same. Paying a sum of money to TUG to
recognize the work that goes into the project would be
very much appreciated and appropriate.

What *is* copyrighted is the artwork used on the cover - would you
want to use that? Robi, perhaps you could make an Agreement with
Irina for the right to use the running lion graphic?

If your people can download the CD image and burn a master yourselves,
it is far easier than me posting a CD from the UK. Can you do that?

If you want to look over the CD and perhaps propose extra software
to put on there, or Russian documentation, please let me know. The
only problem is that the CD is full, so you want anything added, you
have to tell me what to take away.... (I am making a CD next week for
FSF India, along the same lines)
