The ordering of entries in the index of The METAFONTbook seems inconsistent: If German names are sorted as English (\"u = u), `D\"urer' should come after `dump'. If German names are sorted as German (\"o = oe), `M\"obius' should come after `mock curvature', ..., `mode_setup'.
