[tex-k] Error in "METAFONT: The Program"

Hi –

I was reading through “METAFONT: The Program”, Vol D (ISBN 0-201-13438-1) and noticed an error on p. 120, 5 lines from the bottom:

“This procedure returns a pointer…” should be
“This function returns a pointer…”

I didn’t see this reported in any of the errata files. I also checked the current mf.web source file, and see the same text.

It’s not a big deal, but it’s incorrect because Pascal makes a distinction between procedures and functions.
