        warnings about problems in recognized specials are still issued,

It's fine with me if you want to make dviljk behave that way.
Seems like a reasonable suggestion.

I cannot easily characterize how the other programs behave.  From a
quick look at dvipsk, it seems that all warnings are suppressed, but I
don't think that makes it mandatory behavior.
