[metapost] Unicode in MetaUML strings

Hi!
I'm rather new here and I can't find any information regarding subj.
I already know how to use btex ... etex in labels, but such things like
State.new(blablaba)
seem not to accept this method. So is there any possibility to force metauml
type-out
non-latin characters?
