[OS X TeX] Adding text to a large number of graphics, saving back to jpg

I'd probably set it up as a batch job in TIFFany3, but  
GraphicConverter might work as well.  Or ImageMagick; I'm fairly sure  
you can add text to images with it, and it would be pretty easy to  
script or write an automator action for it.
