The TeX Users Group is happy to offer a selection of the Lucida fonts designed by Bigelow & Holmes, with support for both mathematical and text typesetting using TeX.

• Please use this general order form to acquire the Lucida fonts. (Other items, including software and journals, are available through the TUG store.)
• The fonts are grouped into two sets. The basic font set includes Lucida Bright roman, Lucida Sans typewriter, and all the Lucida mathematical fonts. The complete font set also contains Lucida Sans and other text variations.
• Sample LaTeX documents using Lucida (both input and output) are available for your perusal, and the installation instructions in case you don't have our welcome email handy.
• The lucida@tug.org mailing list is available for TeXnical questions about installing or using the fonts.You are welcome to join this public mailing list or search its archives. We can't guarantee support, but we will do our best.
• For questions related to ordering or licensing, please email lucida-admin@tug.org, or contact the TUG office.

The Lucida fonts are offered only on condition of acceptance of the Lucida end-user license for named individuals, or the Lucida site license for use throughout an organization. They are not redistributable, freely or otherwise.

These are exactly the same fonts previously offered by Y&Y, and a license upgrade for Y&Y users who are TUG members is available. The license offered by TUG has somewhat more generous terms than Y&Y's; for instance, it allows embedding of the fonts in normal pdf documents.

In addition, if you already have the Type 1 font files, the current releases of all the support files (TeX metrics and LaTeX package) is available from CTAN.

One caveat: If you are using Y&Y TeX, and thus using Adobe Type Manager (ATM) to install the fonts, you may notice that LucidaSans-TypewriterOblique fails to install properly. In this case, feel free to contact us for replacement fonts (and caveats, etc.). This is only relevant for installs using ATM; normal installations, e.g., for TeX Live, MiKTeX, etc., do not have this problem. (The replacement fonts have the same glyphs, only the font names themselves are different.)
