[Xy-pic] Missing segments of arrows

[R. Lewis]

I want to draw a cube, and i came up with the \vcube macro (see
below). However parts of arrows (the ones with the '\hole's in)
disappear when i give it certain arguments.

The attached illustrates this problem, (i have checked that the
prioblem exists in hardcopy as well as .dvi and .ps). Have i
misunderstood something?
