[Xy-pic] Thick lines in pdflatex

Dear Ross,

many thanks!
I already have used option A, but B may be a better alternative.
Actually, the disadvantage of A is that some of the PDF-structure
created by PdfLaTeX (like bookmarks and hyperlinks) is lost.
