Dear TeX users,

- The TeX Collection DVD (TeX Live, MacTeX, proTeXt, CTAN) was mailed to
 members last month, and is available through the TUG store as usual.

- TUGboat: the second issue for 2011 was also mailed to members last
 month, and is available online to members as usual.
 The next issue will be the TUG'11 proceedings, but will likely include
 non-proceedings material as well; deadline October 31, 2011.

- TUG 2011 conference:
 This year's TUG conference will be held in Kerala, India, from
 October 19-21, hosted by River Valley Technologies.

- TUG 2012: the dates are not final yet, but it will be in
 Boston, very likely in mid-July.

- New book reviews:
   * Manual of Typography--Manuale tipografico (1818),
       by Giambattista Bodoni, a new edition from Taschen;
   * LaTeX and Friends, by Marc van Dongen (forthcoming from Springer).

This will be my last newsletter as TUG president---as of the TUG'11
conference (starting tomorrow), Steve Peter will become president, and
Taco Hoekwater and Michael Doob will be joining us on the board.
