Ah, there was a small mistake. The above line should have been:

           (\arabic{enumii})(\alph{enumiii})]

If not, the last bit of cross-reference will resolve to arabic numeral
in parentheses instead of alpha in parentheses.  Sorry for overlooking
this while posting the reply.
