[Tugindia] How float figure placed single column in muticol package

> I have some problem to place float in multicol package. In two column article,  float figure placed full width by using the command \begin{figure*}..\end{figure*}.

\begin{figure}[tp]
  \includegraphics{a.pdf}
\end{figure}

I think you need \usepackage{float} in order to use [tp]
