Hi Venkat,
I agree with your general idea but as you have yourself listed, there
are so many things to talk about. My perception about the general
participation in the meet is that there are not going to be many expert
or even regular users in the meet, hence, we may have to cater
accordingly. But of course, we are meeting to dicsuss technology.
You have hinted upon the most important issues I believe in a short
space. I think it is important to discuss existing TeX and the TeX-to-be
like Indic TeX. Maybe our focus theme could be `TeX and Unicode'. Also,
you could give two short sessions on a) a regular TeX topic like you
suggested fancyheaders etc, and b) your experiments with Omega and the
latest devnag (have you tried it?). We should also tell about
sarovar.org. One issue that is very pertinent and needs to be discussed
sometime is Fonts- their handling, conversion, development, standards,
usage etc. I dont know how we can fit this in. Maybe, if you or somebody
has done some experiment on this, that could be one of the demonstration
session.
I am going to send a mail with the schedule and proposed talks to the
group. please give your suggestions on that.

Amitabh
