[Tugindia] Fitting large Equations in one column

American Physical soc. has revtex class  ( http://publish.aps.org/revtex4/ 
) which takes care of this. Essentially, a long equation is spread into 
two columns and text is organised around it ( as one finds in APSjournals 
). Of course if the equation is very long requiring more than one line, 
one has to break it up manually.
