[Tugindia] Getting no output from Prosper

Dear friends,
I am a newcomer to Prosper, and I wish to learn how to use Prosper
to produce high quality slide presentations.

The commands seem simple enough to use, but obviously I am
missing
something - so far I have not met with any success. I tried the
following LaTex file, which I downloaded from the site

http://www.math.umbc.edu/~rouben/prosper/sample.html

The web page shows the output obtained by the author (it looks
very nice!), but I get nothing at all.

%----------------------------------------------
% sample.tex
\documentclass[pdf,azure,slideColor,colorBG]{prosper}
\begin{document}

\begin{slide}{Elementary mathematics}
Observations:

\[
     \int_{-\infty}^\infty e^{-x^2} \, dx = \sqrt{\pi}
\]

\[
     e^{i\pi} = -1
\]

Conclusions:

\begin{itemize}
     \item $\sqrt{2}$ is irrational
     \item $e$ and $\pi$ are transcendental
     \item $42$ and 42 are not the same in \LaTeX
\end{itemize}
\end{slide}
\end{document}
%----------------------------------------------

Unfortunately, I get only error messages. Here is an extract from
the log file:

! LaTeX Error: Undefined color `black'.

See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.
Type H <return> for immediate help.
  ...

I would be grateful if some reader could suggest what I can do. (I
can send the full log file if it is needed.)

I use the commercial package VTeX, but with MikTeX too
(TechnixCenter as editor), I get no output. As far as I can see, I
have got all the style files needed.

Thank you in advance.
