That is not the idea of TUGIndia. TUGIndia will act as the best
resource center to examine a candidate and award the certificate to
the successful.

Pre-test training should be taken on a commercial level and agencies
should come forward to offer training by accepting reasonable fees.

TUGIndia cannot and will not take the burden of training prospective
candidates, a volunteer driven charity can seldom succeed. Organized
training is not like a five day tutorial that TUGIndia conduct in an
interested institution. But we will provide the syllabus, course
content and scheme of examination in the site. And will provide a
standardized examination system which any person trained in any
institution across the country can attempt and win through.

The problem is this is for a niche audience. So, commercial
organisations will not be interested. If tex training is commercially
viable, commercial institutions would have taken it up long ago! This is
not charity.
We can charge the students a fee that will help us in recouping the
money we spend on running the course and no more. How will the students
learn? TUG tutorials are OK for people in scientific institutions and
Universities but what about our semi literate graduates? I think they
are a bit terse. I have some thing
like the material that IGNOU distributes to their students. People are
probably familiar with MBA material. The materials are so designed that

the students will be able to learn on their own. In fact, most of the
computer books are written this way. The idea is:

At the beginning of each lesson list the objectives of the lesson. They
should be given in such a way that the student should be able to check
if the objectives are fulfilled at the end of the lesson.

Use simple language.

Give Self assessment exercises after teaching a new concept.

Summarise in the end whatever that is discussed in the lessons.

I have no intention of going into the business of tex training.
I neither have the aptitude nor the inclination for such thing!
