[Tuglist] regarding conversion of type 1 fonts.

Hi,
On a personal mail to me, Mr.K.N. Manoj pointed out an
error on such a conversion. The letter `f' is missing
out in the final .pdf file! And on further
experimentation, I found out that font `Arial' in my
figures is also not a culprit.
I had tried out the method CVR suggested.
But, even after making my config.cms with bsr.map in
it, I am not getting the `type 1 fonts' on conversion
with dvips -Pcms. I do not know whether I am missing
out anything trivial as I am new to LaTex.

I am using Miktex and use the command dvips -Pamz -Pcmz foo.dvi
to embed the type 1 fonts. It works fine. I suspect it should
work in Tetex also.
You may see some funny characters in ghostview unless you tell
it where to find the type 1 cm fonts. This not done in
the windows version of gsview/ghostview. There is file called
fontmap.cmr
that contains the lines. I have simply added the lines to my fontmap
file fontmap.GS in the directory c:\gs\gs7.04\lib. Here is my modified
