"textpos" isn't suitable for the process. It will place the object anywhere I
want it; however, it is superimposed on the text. The text does not flow
around it.

I am finding it rather hard to believe that something MS Word does so
effortlessly, is for all practical purposes, impossible in LaTeX. If I had the
ability, which I don't, I would create a package that does just that.
