[texhax] Printing "bar code" on document

I tried the above (naming the file foo.tex) and ended up with error 
messages about foo-pics.pdf.  Although there is an intermediate output, 
foo-autopp.pdf, with a barcode in it, and the final output, foo.pdf, has 
the lines "foo" and "bar" -- there is no barcode in the final output.
