[texhax] status of pdfsizeopt

Hi!

What's the current status of pdfsizeopt (a PDF file size
optimizer)?  Does anybody know some more details concerning
further development, download possibilities, etc., and, of
course, what *exactly* led to the legal problems?

Its homepage [1] only shows a one-liner:

    Project Taken Down ...  In response to a complaint we
    received under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we
    have removed project "pdfsizeopt".
