[texhax] postscript font installation

Are you certain you are using texlive 2012?

In that case which one? The Ubuntu one, og the one supplied by TUG?

I assume a map file needs to be activated, did you do that? and did you first verify that kpsewhich could find the map file?

Hi,

I am trying to install MinionPro on my new machine running Ubuntu. I am using tex-live 2012, and I followed the instructions at

 http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/minionpro

to install the fonts. I use latex - dvips - ps2pdf to compile my latex. But when I run dvips I get the following error:

I followed the same steps to install the fonts on my previous computer (running Mac OS X) and everything worked perfectly, so I'm not sure what's going on with my current installation. I wonder if you could help me troubleshoot these problems?
