You should put more trust in the pdfpages manual. It doesn't mention
trim and clip without reason.

\begin{document}  
\includepdf[clip,trim=4cm 6cm 4cm 6cm,fitpaper]{testinput}
\end{document}

(trim starts left and goes counterclockwise.)
