[texhax] strange behaviour with \parshape, list-like environment and minipage

I would be tempted to address the last, if the only problem
is the extra vertical white space.  This is presumably \parskip
glue, so why not use {\parskip = 0 pt \leavevmode} ?  If it
turns out not to be \parskip glue but (e.g.,) \baselineskip
glue or even \lineskip glue, you could zero that one in
place of (or in addition to) \parskip within the group.
