Although proTeXt does have various bits and pieces "pre-bundled", I
would suggest getting MiKTeX directly (http://www.miktex.org). MiKTeX is
the standard TeX distribution on Windows, and the bits that proTeXt adds
are not necessarily that useful. For editing LaTeX files, I would
suggest TeXworks (http://www.texworks.org) as the easiest editor to use,
although it does not yet have an installation program.
