[texhax] Problem with footers

Hi, I'm trying to set up custom footers that should be 4 lines
high+separation from the body of the page.

The problem is that, when I put in the body content something like
\begin{footnotesize}INAF – Osservatorio Astronomico di Torino, Strada
Osservatorio 20, 10025 Pino Torinese – Torino\\
tel.\ +39 011 8101900, fax: +39 011 8101930\end{footnotesize}}

All seems to be OK, but if I add some more lines like in the following

blabla\\
blabla\\
\begin{footnotesize}INAF – Osservatorio Astronomico di Torino, Strada
Osservatorio 20, 10025 Pino Torinese – Torino\\
tel.\ +39 011 8101900, fax: +39 011 8101930\end{footnotesize}}

the footer content is shifted down even if I increase the parameter
\footskip.

I searched for some parameter which could help me to set directly the
height of the footer, but the only one I could find is \footheight,
which apparently is not used in LaTeX2e.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
