Dear TeX users,

- Software: the TeX Collection 2007 software was released some time
ago, and physical DVDs and CDs are shipping to user group members now.
Since there was no software release in 2006, the 2007 version will
also be shipped to TUG members for 2006.

- For anyone looking to head out on a last minute trip, there is no
better place to go than EuroBachoTeX 2007, to be held in Bachotek,
  Poland, April 28 to May 2, 2007.

- TUG 2007 will be held in San Diego, California, July 17-20, 2007, on
the campus of San Diego State University.

It is not too late to submit presentation proposals, but please send
titles/abstracts as soon as possible to tug2007 at tug.org. More info
  about proposals at:
  http://tug.org/tug2007/cfp.html

The web site also has a registration form, accommodation information,
etc. There is very inexpensive on-campus housing available, and
several hotels close by. Please register as soon as it's convenient,
as it will help our planning considerably.

The first day of the conference will be devoted to tutorials.
We expect to hold one all-day session on LaTeX, and two parallel
sessions on a variety of topics, including MetaPost, beamer+tikz,
  ConTeXt, and LuaTeX.

  See you in San Diego!

- New interviews in the Interview Corner for your reading pleasure:
Jonathan Kew, the author of XeTeX; Will Robertson, a relatively new
volunteer in the TeX community; and John Culleton, who runs an
indexing and typesetting business using TeX.

- Finally, a non-TeX but interesting typographical topic: a
feature-length documentary film on the typeface Helvetica has been
released recently. It's screening at many venues around the world,
usually with the filmmaker and others in attendance. Check it out!
