[texhax] Suppressing page break

Dear texhax,

How do I suppress the page break which always precedes the
bibliography?

At present my document has the following lines at the end, and a new
page always starts (whether I issue the \newpage command or not).

\bibliographystyle{c:/latex/preferences/newagsm2}
\bibliography{c:/research/biblio}

I have managed to change the name and font size for my bibliography
title using

\renewcommand\bibname{\LARGE{References}}

but don't know how to control anything else related to it.

Any help would be most appreciated.
