the tex faq addresses itself to tex-related questions only.  it also
discusses the mechanics of asking questions:

it's not clear that this is anything to do with tex.  this may simply be
because you're not describing your situation well.  however, program
edit-compile-debug cycles don't sound terribly tex-y to me.
