Yes, this is an advert ... no, it is simply vital information
that every user needs:-)...

In a soon to be published volume,
(see News on http://www.latex-project.org/ for further samples)
you will be able to find something very much like this
(together with many similar):

Error message:
  Too many math alphabets used in version <name>

Meaning:
  You used too many different math alphabet identifiers in your
  formulas.  If this error occurs after adding the bm package, define 
  \newcommand\bmmax{0} before loading bm and try again; this prevents
  the package from preallocating math alphabets.


It may be relevant.
