That is correct.  I don't use Arch myself, but unless I be wrong, AUR
is not the official Arch, which still has v11.90 of auctex and so that
glitch which accompanies it.

I was skimming too fast.  If I may, wouldn't it be worth recompiling
the current version with a small patch for the time being?
