[tex-live] mvorigin option in (x)dvipdfmx

I need to look again but I'm clearly missing something as currently I
can't see any instances when this option should not be used.
Requiring the user to tunnel xdvipdfmx options through xetex seems
very unfortunate.
If the direct mp translation  macros were doing the wrong thing, those
macros could be fixed without breaking the default behaviour for
the more usual case of eps inclusion.

Is there any reason for the default xetex configuration not to use the
mvoption for xdvipdfmx?
