[tex-live] TeXLive 2016 source tar ball with object and library files?

Hi,

just tried to archivemount texlive-20160523-source.tar.xz and recoginzed
that the tar ball is much larger then those of 2015 (252126K to 44395K)
due a lot of binary, object, and library files.

Why this?
