[tex-live] Serious (?) problem with Babel and language attributes

Ulrike,
If I understand you right then you are saying that in both cases latin
and russian it should be an error in the ldf file?  Then we wouldn't
have a general babel error but just two errors in two babel language
packages, namely latin and russian.

Right?
