[Sun Jan 22 09:16:58 2012] install: texdoc.universal-darwin

But
~ axel$ tlmgr show --list texdoc
says:

tlmgr: package repository ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/tex/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet
package: texdoc
category: TLCore
shortdesc: Documentation access for TeX distributions.
longdesc: TeXdoc is an application for easy access to the package documentation of a TeX distributions (i.e., .dvi, .pdf or .ps files on the $TEXDOCS tree). It is distributed with TeX-Live and a derivative is distributed with miktex.
installed: No

tlmgr: package repository http://www.bitlib.net/mirror/ctan/systems/texlive/tlnet
[1/2, ??:??/??:??] reinstall: texdoc.universal-darwin [1k]
[2/2, 00:01/06:27] install: texdoc [138k]

And now the log file says:

[Mon Jan 23 16:02:30 2012] reinstall: texdoc.universal-darwin
[Mon Jan 23 16:02:32 2012] install: texdoc

My error was to install texdoc.universal-darwin instead of texdoc.

Texdoc is working now, but useless, since BasicTeX comes without doc tree.
There isn't even documentation for the packages I added myself via tlmgr.

Back to the recommendation to install the full MacTeX.

Sorry for wasting your time.

Axel
