TeX Live developers are authors of infrastructure programs as tlmgr
and if a bug is report, they qhuickly fix it. Fonts and macro packages
are simply taken from CTAN and packaged so that they work with tlmgr
and with the TeX suite. The managers cannot even test that everything
works in all corners of the TeX world. Using TeX fonts in X server in
some Linux distro is far beyond the scope of TeX Live. If a font is
corrupted, only its author can fix it. Authors and maintainers of most
fonts and packages are not connected with TeX Live development, they
do not read messages sent to this list. You have to find the README
file of the font and find the responsible person.
