Unfortunately, no. Last checkin into
http://latex-beamer.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/latex-beamer/latex-beamer/
happened over two years ago. I don't know why he stopped maintained
it, but it doesn't matter; we should thank him for bringing it to a
state of such a powerful and bug-free package.

And, who knows, maybe someone else takes over the maintenance at some point.
